Our post celebrated Independence Day July 4th, 2024 with a Mass of Remembrance hosted by Staab Funeral Home and the CWV post 1916. Originally scheduled outside but it rained and relocated to the Chapel Mausoleum. Pictured: Chuck Jiardina, Tim Kennedy, Rose Connolly, Peggy Billhartz, Pat Noel and Ret ANG Reverend Daniel J. April 14, 2025 1st Place Winner of the Catholic War Veterans Valentine's Day coloring contest was Emme Rose from St Mary's School in Brussels, IL. Check for $100 was presented on April 14 in front of her school classmates. Congratulations.
We are also elated that 2 others from the school made the national top 10 as runners up and they were presented with certificates. This is also quite an honor and we are so proud of you.



CWV presented a wreath at the 160th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s death at the Abraham Lincoln Tomb in Springfield, IL. Others included reenactors and DAR chapters.
